These genuine Australian army issue ankle boots (AB) are the ideal dress shoe alternative.
The shoes are made from high quality top-grain leather, shaped and manufactured in Australia, mostly by Rossiters Boots (Rossi) in Adelaide or Oliver and Stevens boots in Victoria between the late 1950s and early 1970s. The soles consist of three layers of full grain leather, all nailed and stitched in place using a Goodyear welt, making this shoe durable and incredibly sturdy.
The heel of the boot is also made up of layers of leather, with five additional layers all nailed under your heel. Metal toe plates and heel plates prevent excessive wear on the shoe, ensuring a long-lasting product. Leather is naturally water resistant as it is not a woven fabric and the Gusseted tongue on these boots helps add water resistance.
